How will Remote Work Impact Real Estate Markets

Work from home is a crucial legacy of the pandemic. Hosted by UBC Sauder Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate

The Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate was established in 1988 at the Sauder School of Business with the support of the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia. It aims to advance the research and teaching of urban economics and real estate within the province.

Aiming to foster the integration among teaching, research and the professional real estate community in BC and Canada, the Centre supports the academic programs, students and the research of its affiliated faculty in urban economics and real estate in UBC Sauder School of Business.

Each year, our students compete in the NAIOP Pacific Northwest Real Estate Challenge with the support of Henderson Development (Canada), and Cornell International Case Competition sponsored by QuadReal Property Group. We also match some of our students with local industry employers through the Grosvenor Americas/UBC Sauder Summer Internship program. We host an annual forum for the Vancouver real estate and policy community with the support of Grosvenor Americas, and participate as a host or guest in the Canadian Real Estate and Urban Economics Conference.

Sponsors

We wish to express our gratitude to our sponsors. Through their support and generosity, the sponsors provide the foundation for the Centre to achieve our goals and objectives.

A lot of business leaders are really good people and each and everyday they are faced with very complex issues. It is my belief that the centre will provide the tools that these leaders need to make ethical decisions. That's my belief and where I want to make a meaningful impact.
