Leveraging business solutions to catalyze a climate positive future

Vision

The Centre's vision is to become a dynamic hub for climate-focused business education and problem-driven research. Grounded in robust research and a commitment to innovation and partnerships, it aims to help the business community define and navigate its role in driving a climate-positive future. Central to its mission are three interconnected strategies.

Our Theory of Change

Our theory of change is built on the belief that by equipping future business leaders with practical skills and collaborating with industry leaders to foster innovative research, we can transform climate challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth and competitive advantage.

Accelerating Climate Leaders

By providing students with opportunities to apply their business knowledge — such as finance, operations, marketing, and accounting—through hands-on, practical experience in our climate clinics, we prepare them to become climate leaders in business, ensuring they can effectively address climate challenges in their future careers.

Innovating Through Research

By partnering with businesses on research initiatives, we develop actionable insights and cutting-edge solutions for real-world climate issues, driving advancements in both academia and industry.

Catalyzing Industry Transformation

By convening industry leaders to share knowledge and strategies, we turn complex climate issues into opportunities for strategic innovation, enhancing business resilience, closing the intention-action gap, and accelerating the adoption of climate solutions.

Accelerating Climate Leaders

Climate Clinics

Climate clinics connect students and businesses to drive climate solutions. They offer training in climate-related skills and then match students with companies needing support to address climate challenges. This approach helps businesses implement practical solutions while giving students hands-on experience in real-world climate projects.

Our Focus: Empowering EMEs for Climate Action

Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the Canadian economy, yet they often face challenges in addressing climate issues due to limited resources. Climate clinics offer vital support and expertise to help these businesses develop and implement sustainable strategies.
